Camera and lighting evaluation

When it came to lighting, we made the decision to use an on-camera light source. This provided us with additional illumination while maintaining a dark atmosphere, thus minimizing the need for extensive adjustments during the editing process. We strategically positioned the on-camera light at an appropriate distance to strike a balance between enhancing visibility and preserving the desired dim ambiance.

Another crucial aspect we focused on was directing the viewers' attention to specific details. We employed various techniques to establish a direct connection with the audience and keep them engaged with the storyline. This involved using lighting pop-ups and implementing the pull focus technique during the editing process, which guided the viewers' gaze and emphasized important elements within the frame.

Overall, our meticulous use of lighting and camera techniques contributed to the effectiveness of our short film, immersing the audience in the desired atmosphere, and ensuring a visually compelling storytelling experience.
